SLL (Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate)

Traditionally used as a food emulsifier, it is derived from the biofermantation of sugar to produce Lactic acid & a fatty acid from coconut oil – Lauric Acid, both of which are components of the natural moisturising factor of the skin and because of its ability, as a lactylate, to penetrate skin easily, providing residual moisturisation.  

Lauric acid is known for its moisturising abilities, and is also recognized as an acne-fighter thanks to its anti-microbial properties.
