Avocado Butter (Hydrogenated Persea Gratissima Seed Oil)

Avocados, native to central Mexico, meant much more to the ancient Aztecs than fruit to mash into guacamole. In the Aztec language, avocado becomes ahuácatl, which translates to testicle. The name is a reference to its shape, the fruit was reportedly considered an aphrodisiac among ancient Aztec societies. According to some tales, the Aztecs even kept their vulnerable young women inside during the avocado growing season.

The fruit contains unsaturated oil that rehydrates skin. The oil soothes the upper layers of skin and is very good for dry, cracked, ageing and peeling skin.
Avocado oil is reputed to be beneficial in reducing age spots, the appearance of scars and it is said to help protect skin from ultraviolet rays.

The rich, soft butter is pressed from the flesh of avocados and contains vitamins A, B1, B2, D & E which hydrate, nourish and soften the skin.
